An announcement was recently posted on the HoN Facebook group indicating the official date that the beta is ending.

Here's the actual announcement:

Retail release date has been set. HoN's Open Beta will come to an end on Wednesday, May 12th @ 4:00pm EST, 2 weeks from today. It has been an amazing beta process and we appreciate the support of all our fans!

It was also mentioned on the forums that people who have pre-purchased will be able to "steal" game names from people who haven't pre-purchased starting May 5th.

The retail release of HoN is approaching. With that in mind, we will be opening up all NON PRE PURCHASED nicknames to anyone willing to purchase or who has already pre purchased the game.

You will simply visit a form, check the availability of a nickname, if the nickname is not taken or taken by a non pre purchased account, you will have the opportunity to KS it. That means if you are not pre purchased and want your nickname, I strongly suggest you buy HoN now to secure your it before this begins on:

Wednesday, May 5th @ 4:00pm EST (with retail following a week later Wed, May 12th @ 4:00pm EST)
